The AP reports that the Atlantic Coast Conference released its 2005 schedule this past week, which includes a record 265 television appearances. The conference said that it may add even more TV games later in the season.

The season open Dec. 11th for new ACC member Boston College when they play at Maryland.

Other match ups in November include Big Ten's Illinois playing at North Carolina, November 29th. North Carolina has tough non conference games at Arizona and at home against Kentucky this year.

North Carolina has been buffeted by losses to the NBA, but a new recruiting class is expected to make an early impact.

Important non-conference games also include Duke against Texas and Indiana, Wake Forest versus Wisconsin and North Carolina State playing Notre Dame and Alabama.
