From: Chernarus Coastal Operations Group Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from July 3rd to July 9th, Inclusive.

Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continued at a decreased pace.

Chernarus Defense Forces, Air Forces and Naval Forces have engaged in seven separate operations against rebel forces in six regions.

1) A task force from 1st Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to Ribbenstedt in Werferlingen Friday morning to relieve and evacuate friendly troops stranded there.

Only six hours before, brigade command ordered two BTR rifle squads to remain in town to hold off attacks against rebel forces. Both squads' BTRs and a tank were destroyed, so those troops had no means to evacuate the town.

It took nearly 25 minutes before the task force's two BRDM scout cars were able to make town, but by then, friendly forces had been whittled town to less than 50 percent strength.

The remaining troops were boarded on two trucks the task force brought with them. Meanwhile, task force rifle troops were trying to destroy an enemy BTR-80A, which had disabled one tank with a crew kill and another with a fire control kill.

Eventually, the task force commander destroyed the BTR-80A with an RPG shot, enabling the safe retreat of the remaining forces.

Losses were heavy. In additional to the stranded troops, the task force lost both BRDM scout cars, and the two tanks, which were abandoned. Infantry losses for the task force totaled two.

This was the first full run through of a mission mode I call relief of stranded troops. There will be 12 different missions, but they will appear on 15 percent of the time.

3) On early Saturday morning an armored group was organized from 1st Bn, Chernarus 13th Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade to oversee the evacuation of civilians from the town of Goztepe.

The civilians were ordered out by the town mayor when they reported receiving threatening texts and emails from rebel commanders. The Chernarus brigade commander ordered two trucks to be sent to the town along with the task force to enable the evacuation.

Along with way, friendly troops encountered two separate foot patrols, but they were dispatched quickly.

The town was probed in two places by rebel rifle troops and technicals, but attempts to penetrate defenses were ended quickly. The civilians were evacuated safely, while friendly troops' losses were very light.

The task force's air cover, an MI-24 landed damaged, and ordered abandoned. The pilots were evacuated aboard 3rd squad's BTR.

4) Saturday morning a rifle group from 1st Bn, 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was sent to Monakhovo in Beketov to locate and eliminate two rebel operatives.

The operatives, identified by battalion intelligence staff as Vladimir Rozhin and Eralda Cunmulaj, entered town the morning before and ordered their forces to set about rounding up citizens they said were spies. Electronic intercepts said they had even executed two, but friendly forces were unable to locate them.

Using artillery fire as cover, command squad entered town from the south while three BRDM scout cars in the east kept up covering fire against rebel technicals and infantry.

Command squad eliminated the operatives, but were unable to find Cunmulaj to seize documents said to be on her person. Command squad also penetrated the town's defenses enough so to destroy the enemy supply trucks they had brought with them.

The task force retreated from town with only three losses from command squad. Field reports say that three rebel technicals were destroyed by friendly forces, one of them by artillery fire.

5) Early Monday morning a task force assembled from 2nd Bn Chernarus 33rd Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack Rannersdorf in Cham.

The actual target for the task force were the two rebel operatives, Ruslan Kravchuk and Anna Alliluyeva, who led a large rebel rifle/technical force to take over the town and to impose their criminal rule over the area.

Both operatives were found and eliminated, but before the task force could complete its mission of destroying supply trucks, the commander was killed by a heavy machine gun technical.

Losses to the point were extremely light, so the mission was abandoned.

6) Late Monday night a private contractor special forces group was ordered to return to Skippari in Virolahti to eliminate two new operatives who has just taken over town in the wake of the last operation.

Jovan Duka and Manja Novakovic had taken over operations and entered town with the intention of continuing their work in establishing a supply transshipment point for rebel forces.

On the way to Skippari, the team encountered two machine gun technicals. The team eliminated one and chased the other one off.

With the help of two USMC F-35B fighters, the team penetrated the towns defenses. The fighters eliminated no fewer than four technicals.

The active air cover enabled the location and elimination of the two criminal operatives.

The team also rescued three prisoners. Naval intelligence said the prisoners were three humanitarian aid works who had ran afoul of the rebel operatives.

On the return leg, the team, with their released prisoners, encountered a rebel rifle group sent out to search for the team. The enemy rifle team was eliminated, so the mission could continue.

7) Late Tuesday night, a Chernarus private contractor special forces team was sent to Ol'sha in northeastern Chernarus with orders to eliminate two rebel operatives.

Simeon Piscevic and Margarita Tikhanova led a small rifle-technicals group to the town after it previously was abandoned by rebel forces, and were planning to demand tribute from the hamlet's residents and from others in the surrounding area.

The team penetrated the hamlet's defenses under air cover provided by an MI-24 attack helicopter. The operatives were found and eliminated, and important documents were seized from the dead body of Tikhanova.

On the retreat back to the ship the team encountered a rebel foot patrol and at least one infantry pursuit element. All enemies were eliminated or were dodged.

The team made it back to ship safely.

Naval intelligence has yet to comment on the information found at Ol'sha.

8) A rifle group from 2nd Bn Chernarus 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack Sevastianovo Thursday evening.

The town had been taken over by a combined armor-infantry force headed by two criminal operatives, Enver Kadare and Anastasia Shanina, who ordered their forces in early Thursday morning.

Upon arrival the force began harassing the residents of town, arresting and beating innocents, and demanding tribute and food supplies.

The operation was well covered by SU-25 ground interdiction fighters and an MI-24 attack helicopter, which attacked and destroyed several armor vehicles.

Command squad penetrated the rebels' defense, located the two operatives and eliminated them. Documents were seized from Shanina which army intelligence said may shed light on rebels' future plans in Beketov.

The rifle force also cleared town and destroyed supply trucks.

Losses were heavy for command squad which lost eight, five of which were caught in an artillery impact zone. The only other loss was a BRDM scout car which was destroyed by a rebel tank.
