Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from July 10th to July 16th, Inclusive.

The tempo of combat operations continued at a decreased pace.
Chernarus Defense Forces, Air Forces and Naval Forces have engaged in three separate operations against rebel forces in three regions.
1) On Friday evening in Rosche, an armored task force was assembled based on a warning order issued by brigade recon staff to 4th Bn, Chernarus 10th Separate Tank Brigade.
Rebel forces were planning to capture a critical crossroads one kilometer north of Klein Malchau.
The task force arrived just as the spearheads of the rebel force arrived. Three technicals, and a BRDM scout car attempted to penetrate into a cordon occupied by friendly forces. All were destroyed, mostly by RPG and heavy machine gun fire.
Later, rebel force main body attacked with several armor vehicles, including two tanks, but were destroyed as they tried to close on friendly forces' positions.
Casualties were moderate, with friendly forces losing a total of 15 infantry out of 48. Only one armor vehicle, a BRDM scout car, was destroyed.
Another scout car was too badly damaged, so, it was ordered abandoned.
The task force lost both SU-25 ground interdiction fighters shot down with loss of the air crews.
Field reports are that rebels lost at least two tanks and five BMPs, a BRDM scout car and three technicals. Battalion recon staff said based on those reports, rebel forces have been stopped cold in the region.
2) On Wednesday afternoon, an amphibious naval infantry group from 1st Bn, Chernarus 2nd Separate Naval Infantry Brigade was tasked with finding and eliminating two criminal operatives who has taken over the town of Koivuniemi in Viriolahti.
Naval intelligence also had received word that the two operatives, Grigoriy Bukharin and Olesya Mahendru, had commissioned the murder of no fewer than 12 local unarmed civilians. Among the tasks assigned the task force commander was to find and record the execution site.
Both operatives were found and eliminated after an intense gun fight between rebel forces and the Chernarus naval infantry. Casualties were extremely light with a total of three losses among the three rifle squads assigned the mission.
Intel documents found of the dead body of Olesya Mahendru described the list of people rebels were ordered to find and eliminate. There were more than 30 people on the list.
3) Early Thursday morning a Chernarus private contractor special forces team was dispatched to the rebel held airfield near Krasnostav to eliminate two top rebel operatives, Vladimir Rozhin and Oksana Putina, who had taken over security for the northeast area of Chernarus.
With the help of two Chernarus Defense Forces MI-24 attack helicopters, the team penetrated the security cordon around the airport and eliminated the two operatives.
Documents taken from Putina showed no additional, actionable intelligence.
The team returned to ship safely, as did the air crews of the attack helicopters.
