Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continued at an increased pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in six operations in five regions.

1) In Rosche Friday evening separatist commanders demanded a group of 20 civilians from Batensen be turned over to them for trial. The separatists accused the civilians of refusing to give them support in the form of money.

The mayor of Batensen and another unidentified local official asked the commander of Chernarus 10th Tank Brigade to assist in evacuating the civilians out of danger. When the separatists caught wind of the request, they began massing troops for an attack.

A task force from 4th Bn was dispatched to Batensen to cover the evacuation, the loading of which was still going on when they arrived. The brigade commander did not want to risk the civilians coming under fire once under way.

The task force deployed in an inverted arc covering east to west with the tanks covering the road. Enemy infantry attacks ensued in the middle. According to field reports, French speaking and Spanish speaking militia attacked.

Command squad bore some of the attacks, destroying the French gangs. Intermittent moderate to heavy rain hampered visibility enough so that the Saharani militia got very close to command squad before the attack was ended.

Light and heavy armor attacks ensued as well. Tank 2 which covered the east side of the north-south road suffered a mobility hit from the French speaking militia. Tank 2 continued to fire on and destroy enemy wheeled light armor.

Once the trucks carrying the civilian had arrived in safety, the commander, who is responsible for task force maintenance, assisted in getting Tank 2 repaired. Then the retreat began.

Once the trucks carrying the civilian had arrived in safety, the commander, who is responsible for task force maintenance, assisted in getting Tank 2 repaired. Then the retreat began.

The task force suffered zero losses. Field reports put the vehicle enemy losses at one BTR-80A and one T-34/85.

2) In Gunkizli, a motorized rifle detachment from 1st Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack and clear the village of Dogukent.

The village was taken over by a separatist force led by Kliment Tinaj and Katerina Pimenova the morning before. Brigade recon staff had no report on this pair of operatives and their deployment.

The tactical plan was for 2nd and 3rd squad to attack the western side of the village, while both tanks attacked on the east. Command squad would attack through the main road, clearing houses as they went along.

In the initial contact, the overall commander and a PK machine gunner was killed by a Russian speaking rifleman. The squad also was pinned down by Russian MVD troops. 2nd squad commander took over as overall commander.

The commander continued house clearing until reaching the housing of the operatives. Both operatives were killed, Katerina Pimenova by 2nd RTO. The commander took documents which showed deployment of their artillery.

The commander also destroyed three supply trucks the separatists had brought with them, before receiving the order to retreat back to base.

Casualties were moderate. Tank 2 was destroyed by several RPG shot along with its crew. Command squad lost four.

3) A battlegroup from 1st Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack and clear the town of Rottorf in Werferlingen Sunday afternoon.

Rottorf was taken over early that morning, led by criminal operatives Alexei Yakovlev and Hasna Jaho, who had been observed by local operatives friendly to Chernarus Defense Forces. One of the operatives stole some maps and other documents, leaving them in a dead drop.

The tactical plan was for the tanks and the BRDM scout cars to approach from the southeast, as the dismounted rifles attacked from the east. 2nd squad would veer to the north, while 3rd squad veered to the south.

Command squad penetrated into the security zone where they encountered Russian speaking operators and Russian MVD special forces. As the rifles pressed to the west, the tanks pressed north, one of them destroying an SPG-9 technical.

Command squad moved to the operatives' hideout. The commander eliminated Hasna Jaho. Documents were taken from her person, documents which were lists of individuals to be murdered in Rottorf.

Command squad pushed to the northside of the town to recover the stolen documents, before receiving orders to withdraw.

Casualties were moderate. Command squad lost four while 2nd squad and 3rd squad each lost one.

4) A battlegroup from 2nd Bn Chernarus 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack the village of Rylovo in Beketov early Wednesday morning.

Operatives Ivan Albanez and Maria Sharapova led a separatist force to take over Rylovo Tuesday morning. Upon their arrival, they began ordering arrests of specific residents, including three unidentified individuals.

The tactical plan for the attack was 2nd squad would attack from the western end of the village while 3rd squad would move just to the south to bring the main part of the village under fire.

Command squad, with the heavy machine gun fire support from a BRDM, attacked from the west, engaging in a brief, but fierce fire fight with Russian speaking infantry.

The commander pushed to the east to the enemy operatives' housing unit. Instead of exchanging gunfire with the operatives' security detail, the commander rolled a grenade in and killed them all.

Documents stripped from the operatives, included a list of informants the separatists use, and a list of names and bank account numbers.

The battlegroup retreated from town after the order was issued. Command squad then went to a remote location, located prisoners kept by the separatists, and released them.

Casualties were moderate. Command squad lost three, while 3rd squad lost four. The MI-24 attack helicopter used as air support was shot down with the loss of the air crew.

5) A Chernarus Defense Forces special forces team was ordered to the village of Kozlovo in Beketov with orders to eliminate two criminal operatives, Jovan Duka and Katerina Pimenova Wednesday night.

A Russian speaking contractor team was also in the area. 2nd Army Corps command wanted them eliminated. In the past, Russian speaking contractor teams were used to perform the "wet work" operatives directed them to perform.

An MI-24 helicopter was used to insert the team about 800 meters south of town By the time the team arrived, anther MI-24 attack helicopter arrived to provide air support.

The team pushed into town, clearing enemy riflemen until they arrived at the housing unit of the operatives. One of the other operators eliminated the operatives. The commander found documents on them with critical data.

The team extracted about 500 meters south of town as the air support bird continued attacking.

Casualties were moderate. The team medic wandered in front of the commander as he was firing on an enemy riflemen. The remainder of them team returned to base safely.

6) A rifle task force assembled from elements of 2nd Bn Chernarus 24th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack and clear the Power Plant in Livonia Wednesday night.

The area was just recently invaded by separatist forces under the command of criminal operatives Matija Depreradovich and Eralda Cunmulaj, forces which included the appearance of an anti aircraft battery.

Brigade operations ordered operations to retake the Power Plant, eliminate the criminal operatives and destroy the AA battery.

The tactical plan was for 2nd squad to advance along one western road north to act as a block against enemy reinforcements, while 2nd squad would advance along a parallel road with one BRDM scout car providing heavy machine gun fire support.

Command squad would advance along the woods south of the plant, while tanks 1 and 2 would advance along the eastern road.

Resistance was very strong, provided by Spanish speaking militia, and Russian MVD special forces. 3rd squad took the brunt of the resistance as they were the first to enter the compound.

Command squad located and eliminate the two operatives, seizing documents from them. Command squad proceeded north to the location of the AA battery. Using launched and hand grenades, the AA battery was destroyed.

Enemy reinforcements poured in from the north and the northwest. Commander ordered Tank 1 to the west to assist in stopping the enemy. In time, resistance inside and outside the compound was broken.

The commander asked and received orders to retreat.

Casualties were high. Command squad lost four, while 2nd and 3rd squads each lost five. The scout car was immobilized by crew kills. The commander took over to transport his team back to base.
