Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continue at an steady pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in six operations in four regions.

1) 2nd Bn, Chernarus 2nd Separate Naval Infantry Brigade conducted a room clearing battle overnight in Poliakko in Altis in conjunction with elements of US naval and land forces. An MI-24D provided air support.

A photoplay is available.

2) Second day of the room clearing operation in Poliakko in Altis. That operation was preceded by a series of gunfights against a criminal militia group defending Neochori.

Again, an MI-24 gunship provided air support for the room clearing Poliakko operation.

3) An armored task force assembled from 3rd Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade received a warning order concerning enemy movement near Horsingen in Weferlingen.

Brigade recon staff determined a separatist mixed armor/infantry force would attempt to cross the river at Horsingen, then possibly move further south towards 3rd Bn's forward zone for an attack.

As the task force moved into their positions, separatist counterbattery units located the task force's supporting artillery battery, destroying it. From that point on, the task force had no artillery support.

The enemy attacked from the north, with armored vehicles attacking from the west. Infantry attacks commenced across the bridge, where command squad was situated.

Command squad ended two of those attacks, but the task force commander was killed. Brigade operations staff then issued a new order for the task force to advance across the river, at a location where separatist forces were expected to be.

Command squad and Tank 1 arrived at the new objective. Command squad was attacked three different times by enemy infantry. Meanwhile Tank 1 destroyed a number of enemy vehicles attacking from the north.

In Horsingen, attacks by enemy armor continued. Relief forces arrived to reinforce the defensive effort in town. 2nd squad was ordered across the river to support command squad and Tank 1.

Tank 1 exchanged tank gunfire with a T-55 tank several times. Tank 1 was destroyed. With no tank support at the second objective, task force commander began to pull his forces back.

Casualties were moderate. Friendly forces lost one BRDM and one Tank. Infantry losses were mild. Command squad lost three, while the other squads lost two each.

The SU-25 was shot down with the pilot then safely evacuated back to 3rd Bn's forward zone.

Field counts put enemy losses at: one T-34/85, one BTR-80A, three BRDMs, and two BMPs.

A photoplay is available.

4) A light infantry task force from 1st Bn Chernarus 4th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to Gorka in Chernarus after receiving a warning order. Affiliated separatist forces were expected to drive through Gorka.

Gorka is at the extreme northern extent of 4th Brigade's security zone. The march there took about 40 minutes. Assisting were three infantry squads, two BRDMs, one SU-25, and one MI-24 gunship.

Enemy infantry attacks took place shortly after the arrival of friendly forces. Most of the enemy's attacks were stopped, but as more enemy forces arrived, their attacks began to take their tolls.

In the end, the commander declared the mission outcome doubtful and ordered a retreat. 3rd squad was swamped with enemy forces including a T-55 tank and several technicals.

Losses were very heavy with 3rd squad being wiped out, and 2nd and command squad losing five each. Both scout cars were destroyed. Field counts put enemy vehicle losses at one tank, one BMP-1 and three techincals.

A photoplay is available.

5) Chernarus naval special forces team to Khelm in Chernarus to eliminate a pair of enemy criminal operatives.

The mission was a success. Special force team safely returned to ship. A film is available.

6) A task force from 3rd Bn Chernarus 24th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade marched to Berda in Gabreta with orders to intercept a separatist affiliated rifle force.

Initial contact took place in the south, then attacks shifted to the west and to the northwest. During the attack, the commander shifted Scout 1 (BRDM) south to cover the main road. A few minutes later it was relieved by Tank 1.

The mission was a success. All enemy forces were stopped.

Casualties were moderate. Command squad lost two, while third squad lost five. Relieving rifle squad 1 lost five. 2nd sqaud and relieving squad 2 lost one each. Scout 1 was destroyed.

All forces retreated from Berda in good order.

A photoplay is available.
