Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from January 28th, 2022, to February 3rd, 2022 Inclusive.

The tempo of combat operations continue at a reduced pace.
Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in five operations in five regions.
1) An armored task force assembled from 2nd Bn Chernarus 33rd Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade marched from their forward zone to Ast in Cham with orders to stop an enemy push through the town.
The tactical plan was to deploy the tanks to the west to cover western approaches to Ast. The rifle squads would deploy along a broad facing north.
The first attack hit command squad's position, and included suspected elements of a Russian MVD special forces team. More attacks came in that sector, but like the first attack, were driven back.
When reinforcements arrived, commander sent the reinforcing tank to the north to the main north-south road. It later was destroyed.
The only enemy armor to penetrate into the town defensive zone was a T-34/85, which 3rd squad destroyed with RPG fire.
Losses were moderate. Command squad lost four including the commander. 3rd squad lost fur as well, and reliving squad 2nd squad lost one each.
The task force pulled back to rally 1 in good order.

2) On early Saturday morning CNF engaged and cleared Neochori of enemy militia. Continued attack on Poliakko wth support of an MI-24D gunship.
The rifle unit was driven back by an enemy counterattack. Counterattack was trying for Katalaki, but was driven back by a US attack helicopter AH-64.
Street level/house to house battle lasted into the night, into the next morning with heavy casualties, until the town was cleared.

3) Agents with the Chernrus Intelligence Service (ChRU) were dispatched to Belin in Deniland with instructions to recover a pair of female informants.
Information was the area was patrolled by PMCs. In the attack by the ChRU operatives, resistance turned out to be unusually strong.
Three friendly shooters were killed. But the mission was successful.
The two informants were taken to evacuation by an American intelligence operative aboard an SUV.

4) A light rifle task force from 2nd Bn Chernarus 4th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to conduct offensive operations in Vybor in Chernarus.
Losses were heavy. The assigned operation and the subsequent operation both were failures.

5) A light rifle task force from 2nd Bn 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to return to the village of Sevastianovo in Beketov Thursday night.
Separatist forces entered the village two days before, and already began reinforcing their positions with a mortar battery.
The tactical plan was for 2nd squad and 3rd squad to dismount about 500 meters south of the western entrance to the village, and attack in a two pronged offensive front north.
Command squad would attack from the southeast. The tactical plan was upset somewhat when one of the BRDM scout cars was destroyed by an enemy recoilless rifle technical.
SU-25 ground interdiction fighters and an MI-24D attack helicopter provided air cover. Commander ordered a 122mm counterbattery attack on the mortars.
The attack went quickly and smoothly. Air support did a good job in helping to clear out the village of vehicles.
The mission was a success with zero infantry losses. Heavy equipment losses included the BRDM and a transport truck.
