Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continue at an increased pace.
Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in five operations in six regions.

1) An amphibious naval infantry task force formed from 1st Bn Chernarus 2nd Separate Naval Infantry Brigade was ordered to the hamlet of Lena in Maksiniemi with orders to stop a separatist aligned force.

Supporting the effort of 1st Bn were two Swedish rifle squads and two Swedish air force fighter-bombers.

In the initial insertion, the task force encountered an enemy foot patrol. A firefight ensued which ended up with 2nd and 3rd squads losing two and one Swedish rifles squad losing two.

At Lena, the enemy hit along the broad front set up. 3rd squad was hit especially hard. Towards the end, the task force temporarily retreated south, only to later advance to reestablish its front.

In the end, despite maneuvering, most of the task force was forced back south. Enemy rifles pursued, but were slowed down as command squad reached the boats.

Casualties were nearly catastrophic. 3rd squad and both Swedish squads were wiped out. 2nd squad lost four. Command squad lost two.

2) A special naval infantry task force from 1st Bn Chernarus 2nd Separate Naval Infantry Brigade continued its operations in Altis.

Enemy militia continued to occupy Neochori. But in a night battle, the CNF task force cleared the town on its way west.

The objective was Therisa. The task force jumped off from its forward zone in Poliakko, and attempted to attack Therisa. Despite having artillery support, they were driven back by enemy heavy machine gun fire from enemy technicals.

After an attack from a supporting MI-24D, and several failed ground attacks, the task force hit Therisa from the south.

A heavy night street battle against French speaking militia took place, in which enemy forces were cleared out.

A photoplay is available.

3) After action report: Repeated attempts to reenter Therisa failed until an MI-24D was directed to attack the two Russian MRAPS defending there.

Commander brought in a pair of ZU-23/2 gun trucks, one on the south side of Therisa and one just north of a woods near the airfield, setting up a defensive antiaircraft zone. Somehow the MI-24D gunship crashed or was destroyed.

Commander attacked Therisa airfield at night without air support, having used up its allocation of air support.

Both times, the attack was caught in a crossfire between defending troops at the airfield and a Russian MRAP. Both times the attack failed. Chernarus Naval Forces withdrew for the night.

4) A quick task force was assembled from 1st Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was orders to recover a tank in the field in Werferlingen.

The tank was left near the river just south of Ahmstorf from a previous operation. Recon reports were the separatists were preparing to recover the tank for their own use.

Tank recovery missions require one repair truck, one refuel truck, and a new tank crew, all of which must be transported to the site.

The tactical plan for dealing with separatist troops at the site, was for Tank 2 and 2nd squad to probe north about 500 meters west of the tank, but 3rd squad and Tank 1 to do the same, but to the east.

Contacts on all three axes were made almost simultaneously, and all those forces were rapidly destroyed. The tank was repaired refueled and recrewed quickly.

Enemy quick reaction force slowed down the retreat from the site. 3rd squad became pinned in place by repeated enemy infantry attacks.

The operation ended with just four losses, two of them in infantry and two from a BRDM crew.

5) A light rifle task force from 1st Bn, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to Staroye to clear the town of separatist affiliated forces and to assassinate two enemy criminal operatives, Zakhar Prilepin Eliza Toska. A film is available.

6) Early Thursday morning, a meeting engagement took place in Summa involving a light infantry task force from 1st Bn, Chernarus 24th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade and separatist affiliated forces.

Along with the three light rifle squads, the ad hoc force also brought two BRDM scout cars for heavy machine gun fire support. Additional support in the form of an artillery battery were available. The tactical plan was for the rifle element of the rifle group to take positions at the position 055, 037, along a broad front, going from west to east.

However, the engagement began as soon as friendly forces arrived, involving infantry covering parties. Command and 2nd squad took their positions, but 3rd squad became frozen in place, refusing to advance.

Enemy techncials arrived in force, but were swiftly destroyed with fire from the BRDMs and the rifle squads. At first enemy infantry attacks involved Spanish speaking militia and Russian PMCs. Friendly relief troops became bogged town fighting enemy foot patrols. Attack continued against the two forward squads. 2nd squad was down to two effectives by the time relief troops arrived.

The meeting engagement ended when the commander was killed.

Casualties were moderate. One BRDM was destroyed. 2nd squad lost eight.

A photoplay is available.
