Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from December 2nd, 2022, to December 8th 2022 Inclusive.

The tempo of combat operations continue at an increased tempo.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in seven operations in three regions.

1) On Friday, a battlegroup of 1st Bn, Chernarus 19th Separate Mechanized Cavalry Regiment marched on Chernogorsk with orders to clear three sectors of separatist forces.

The first sector on northern Chernogorsk was cleared in heavy fighting, but with heavy losses. Those losses include six from command squad, and one disabled tank.

Enemy losses included one BTR-80A and one recoilless rifle technical.

This was the third run through of an experimental campaign game.

2) On Friday a task fotce from 1st Bn, Chernarus 19th Separate Mechnaized Cavalry Regiment was ordered to areas north of Chernogorsk in Chernarus, with the task of clearing the village of Nadezhdino of separatist forces.

In the initial encounter, the lead tank, Tank 1 penetrated into Nadezhdino from the south only to be fired on by a pair of BMP-2s. Their fire disabled the tank, blocking the road.

Command squad was the lead rifle element. Command squad penetrated the village defensive perimeter from the southwest, engaging in an intense firefight with Russian speaking militia and with Russian speaking local militia.

Command squad RPG gunners destroyed one BMP-2, but both were killed. Commander maneuvered around to the east to get a better look at the enemy deployment when he was killed by machine gun fire from the remaining BMP-2.

This was the fourth run through of the experimental campaign game.

3) On Saturday, a task force from 1st Bn, Chernarus 19th Separate Mechanized Cavalry Regiment was ordered to Nadezhdino in Chernarus with instructions to clear the village of separatist forces occupying it.

The tactical plan was for a separate armor section including Tank 1 and both scout cars to approach Nadezhdino from the west, while tanks 2 and 3, along with a BMP-2 approached from the south along the road.

This time the task force had the support of two Su-25 ground interdiction aircraft and two MI-24 gunship. Air Support 1 (MI-24 gunship) attacked the enemy deployment in the village while command squad penetrated the enemy's defensive perimeter from the south.

The task force quickly overran the village, destroying one T-55 tank and forcing a defending Serbian Humvee back to the north. Tank 3 suffered an engine failure and was abandoned.

The enemy counterattacked hard in the direction of the village, using armor vehicles including tanks and BTR-80As. Tank and IFV gunfire destroyed the attack when it reached a southern slope facing the village.

Due to technical issues, commander requested and received orders to withdraw to base. Losses included one tank destroyed, one tank abandoned, one Su-25 aircraft and MI-24 gunship shot town.

This was the fifth and final run through of an experimental game mode.

4) A battlegroup from 1st Bn, Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Brigade was ordered to Rottorf in Werferlingen, with instructions to cover the evacuation of civilians.

Separatist commanders long have been demanding several key civilians in the area surrender to them, to be put on trial. Brigade commander offered to conduct the evacuation aboard army trucks.

Separatist forces attacked on the west side of the battlegroup's deployment, using mainly light infantry including Russian militia and Russian ministry of internal matters special forces. All enemy forces were driven off with heavy casualties.

The evacuation away from Rottorf was successful, but ultimately failed when one of the evacuation trucks overturned.

Losses were very light with only the task force commander being killed. Separatist losses included two T-34/85 tanks and one BTR-80A.

5) The battlegroup from 1st Bn, Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was sent out again, this time to Gross Steinem, with orders to intercept a separatist force.

The task force deployed on an outwards facing arc, facing northwest. Two tanks, Tank 1 and Reinforcing Tank1 were deployed north of Supplingenburg, to intercept wheeled vehicles including light armor vehicles.

Rifle attacks hit command squad's defensive sector. These included attacks from Russian ministry of internal matters special operations troops, Russian speaking militia and Serbian speaking militia.

The enemy attacks were very intense, but command squad held its ground, defeating all three attacks. The deployment also was attacked by two Wagner operated gunships, both of which were downed by vehicle fire.

There were no losses. Field counts of enemy losses include two MI-8 gunships, two T-34/85 tanks, one BRDM scout car and one BMP-1 IFV.

6) On Tuesday, a battlegroup from 1st Bn, Chernarus 19th Separate Mechanized Cavalry Regiment received warning orders from regiment recon staff of separatist plans to move forces in the area around Polana.

After a road march lasting nearly 90 minutes, the task force reached Polana, where it came under fire first from an Wagner operated MI-8 gunship, and then an enemy BTR-80A APC. Both vehicles were destroyed by task force counterfire.

The task force's three tanks, along with command squad penetrated into the north edge of Polana. Command squad dug in on the northern edge of the road junction, permitting Scout 1 BRDM scout car to proceed east to Orlovets.

Several enemy armor vehicles appeared at Polana, but were defeated from tank gunfire. The tactical commander was killed by an enemy BMP-2, while he was trying to retrieve a dead drop of intelligence files.

Losses were moderate. Command squad was destroyed on its return trip to the marshalling point by an enemy BRDM section.

Field counts of enemy losses include two BMP-2s, two T-34/85, two BTR-80A and three BRDM scout cars.

7) The 1st Battalion battlegroup from 19th Separate Mechanized Cavalry Regiment conducted combat operations in southern Chernarus against separatist forces.

Command squad, moving as tank desants, were ambushed on their road march to Mogiliev by a Wagner operated Mi-8 gunship, losing two. Air Support 1 destroyed the enemy warbird, allowing the operation to continue..

During the road march and the taking of Mogiliev, three more enemy armor vehicles attempted to reach the coastal road, but were stopped by Air Support 1 and Air Support 2.

In Mogiliev, command squad fought off two rifle attacks, the last of which killed the task force commander.

Following the loss of the commander, the operation was cancelled. Regimental command ordered the task force to pull back west.

Losses were light with two dead from command squad. Field counts of enemy losses included one Mi-8 gunship, one T-55 tank and one BRDM scout car.
