Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from December 23rd, 2022, to December 29th 2022 Inclusive.

The tempo of combat operations continue at a decreased tempo.
Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in three operations in three regions.
1) A task force formed from Chernarus 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade was assigned the task for recapturing three towns in Leskovets, Friday morning.
Ultimately the operation was successful, but with heavy losses. Commander was forced to abandon a tank in order to use the crew as infantry. One BRDM was destroyed. One gunship was shot down with another losing its weapons officer.
Command squad lost eight, while 2nd BMP squad lost seven.
Enemy losses were heavy as well. Three BTR-80As, two BRDMs, two MI-8 guships and one each T-34 and T-55, were destroyed.
2) On Sunday, an armored task force with Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was issued a warning order that separatist forces were advancing towards Rannersdorf in Cham.
The task force arrived in Rannersdorf ahead of the separatists, defeating one T-34/85 tank and two rifle attacks. The task force then advanced north past Albernhof.
There, the task force encountered several enemy infantry and tanks. The task force's armor defeated one T-34/85 and one T-55. In intense firefights, command squad was wiped out.
The operation was ended, and the task force returned to base.
3) 2nd Bn, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade was ordered to march on Novi Sobor after separatist troops had taken over the town.
The two criminal command operatives in change brought with them four Russian private military contractors that they were going to use for their dirty work.
The tactical plan was for 2nd and 3rd squad, along with the two scout cars, attack from the west, while command squad attacked from the southeast.
The western group penetrated into the town perimeter, quickly sweeping aside enemy resistance. Command squad cleared the eastern side of the town then retrieved critical intelligence matter from both criminal operatives.
Enemy artillery was fired on the general area south, but the task force managed to dodge it, The four Russian contractors were not as lucky as commander used artillery to destroy them.
At this point, losses were moderate with only 2nd squad and command squad each losing one. But Scout 2 drove into town too quickly and was destroyed by an enemy RPG gunner.
New orders were issued for an objective south of Stari Sobor, which the commander tried to destroy with artillery. One technical was destroyed. As the task force began their retreat, enemy vehicle and infantry reinforcements arrived.
During the retreat, command squad was wiped out, with the other two squads suffering as well.
