Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continued at a decreased pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in seven operations in four regions.

1) In south Chernarus on Friday, elements of Chernarus 19th Separate Mechanized Cavalry Brigade launched a mobile wide sweep of several areas after regimental intelligence said separatists were planning to advance.

The operation was a limited success with very few losses.

The enemy suffered losses as well, including five BRDM scout cars, three T-34/85 tanks and one MI-8 gunship. A set of supply trucks were destroyed as well.

2) On Sunday, a task force assembled from elements of 1st Bn, Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to march on Graslaben in Werferlingen with orders to clear the town and to recover a trio of prisoners.

The tactical plan was for the tanks to lead followed by the BTR infantry, establishing a line running east to west. The advances of the rifle/tank groups went very quickly, with contact being made as soon as the BTRs arrived.

Command squad, following by Scout 2, advanced to the position where two criminal command operatives were holed up. Commander led the assault, eliminating the two, and seizing intel documents including a cell from from the operatives.

The three prisoners being held by the separatists were recovered and transported aboard command squad's BTR. They originally were wounded through mistreatment. First aid was administered.

As the task force was withdrawing, they were hit by a Wagner operated gunship. The task force drove the vehicle off, with Scout 1 finally shooting it down. The task force continued to retreat.

Losses were very heavy with 2nd squad losing 10 including its BTR, and 3rd squad losing four, plus its BTR. Command squad lost four. Tank 1 was destroyed covering the retreat.

Field counts of enemy losses included one T-55, one T-34/85 and one MI-8 gunship.

3) On Tuesday, a Chernarus Naval Forces team was ordered to Galati in Altis, with instructions to eliminate a pair of criminal command operatives who had led the takeover of the town.

Naval intelligence, in issuing the warning order, said that the separatists already had rounded up a number of civilians and had them executed.

The team inserted by motorized boat on the north coast of Altis, then marched inland to Galati. Commander requested two Hellenic Air Force A-7 fighter bombers to destroy two technicals before the team began their assault.

Commander left the team sharpshooter atop a ridge over looking to the south, from where he picked off several targets of opportunity. Commander located and eliminated the two operatives, and seized intelligence documents and devices.

While sweeping through town south, the team electronic specialist was killed when he marched through a fire zone of a Wagner operator. Commander eliminated the operator, so the team continued on.

Commander located and recorded the mass grave of civilians executed by the separatists, then destroyed a number of supply trucks the separatists had brought with them.

On the return march the team ran into some Russian speaking militia, and after a pitched firefight, eliminated them.

The remnants of the team returned to ship safely by motorized boat. 4) A warning order from battalion intelligence staff sent a task forces from 1st Bn, Chernarus 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade to Armanikha in Beketov to stop an offensive push by separatists.

Even before crossing the river the task force ran into no fewer than two river patrols put up by the enemy. 2nd squad became pinned down in south Armanikha, as did 3rd squad.

Command squad pushed into the southern part of town unpinning 3rd squad. Another friendly patrol was ordered to cross the river and pursue parts of a stay behind party in town. 2nd squad continued to be pinned down.

Attacks from separatists hit command squad's sector the most with no fewer than eight technicals attempting to penetrate the defensive barrier the task force set up. Several more infantry attacks took place in the west.

Commander used artillery to attack incoming enemy infantry throughout the engagement. Despite the artillery attacks, enemy infantry attacks continued to chip away at 2nd squad.

When the retreat order was issued, command squad covered the retreat of most of the task force. Command squad also ran into a Russian naval infantry special forces squad, which resulted in a long firefight.

Casualties were moderate. 2nd squad lost six. Scout 1 BRDM was abandoned due to a crew hit.

5) A special operations team from Chernarus Naval Forces was dispatched to a location where naval intelligence said separatists were holding a pair of friendly operatives prisoner.

In such cases, recovering captured operatives is an urgent matter, because the enemy prefers to transport the prisoners back to their territory, or just execute them.

After a brief march, the team started their assault from the east. The two Hellenic air force aircraft comprising air supprt both were shot down. They did managed to destroy one of the two techncials the separatist had.

The commander commenced his assault eventually reaching the building where the oepratives were being held. Commander eliminated all threats, and recovered the operatives, who were surprisingly unharmed.

On the return march the team recovered one of the four air crews of the downed figher, and escorted him and the operatives to a rendezvous with a naval assault transport boat.

Casualties were moderate, with the team electronic specialist killed in action. The remnants of the team made it back safely to ship.

6) A task force assembled from elements of 1st Bn, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade received a warning order from battalion intelligence staff about separatist plans to capture the village of Staroye in Chernarus.

Enemy action began even before the task force entered Staroye, as Scout 1 BRDM was destroyed in ambush by an RPG shot, while Scout 2 lost its commander.

The task force deployed as a broad front pointing north with 2nd squad in the east and 3rd squad in the west. Enemy infantry attacks began almost immediately.

The task force drove off several attacks from infantry, and from enemy technicals, and a BMP1. Attacks were very heavy, and even with the arrival of two more reinforcing rifle squads, it was not enough to temper losses.

The gunship assigned the task force was shot down with the loss of the air crew. 2nd squad took the brunt of technicals' attacks in the east, yet still managed to stop all but two of the attacks.

When the order to return to base was issued, commander discovered the SU-25 ground interdiction fighter was shot down, but the pilot was alive, but hurt.

The remnants of the task force were ordered back to base, while command squad launched a new operation to recover the pilot. The pilot was escorted back to base to be evacuated.

Losses were heavy. 2nd squad was wiped out, while command squad lost two. 3rd squad lost two, and Reinforcing Rifle Squads one and two each lost four.

7) A special operations team for Chernarus Naval Forces landed on the northern coast of Altis by powered Zodiac boat with orders to extract a pair of friendly operatives in hiding in the village of Frini.

The team marched inland to a point to the west of town, and waited as a pair of Hellenic Air Force fighter bombers destroyed two heavy weapon technicals before beginning their assault.

The team quickly penetrated the enemy defensive perimeter. Commander made contact with the two operatives and led them back west, even when enemy riflemen discovered their presence.

The team escorted the two operatives to a rendezvous with a naval transport boat waiting on the coast before seeing them off.

The team returned to ship by boat safely.
