Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continued at a reduced pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in five operations in three regions.

1) Operations staff for 4th Bn, Chernarus 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade sent a task force north in Leskovets with instructions to attack and clear three enemy deployments.

The first objective was in Salash, where the task force attacked north through a forest belt, eventually penetrating the village and clearing it of enemy troops.

Owing to losses, both through combat and road accidents, the task force lost 2nd squad, one tank and the AA truck. The operation continued on to Granichak, where the task force remnants attacked from the west.

Granichak was cleared quickly but not without losses. Commander decided to end the offensive operation and return to base.

Two Su-25 ground interdiction pilots were recovered by Air Support 2 gunship, and escorted to the forward zone.

Casualties from combat were high with command squad losing seven and 2nd squad losing four.

2) 2nd Bn, Chernarus 33rd Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade launched an offensive in western Cham, with the goal of capturing three key areas: Premeishl, Loitendorf, and Hitlersreid.

One tank and one BRDM attacked Preimeshl on a converging axis from the southeast, while command squad, Tank 2 and Tank 3 attacked from the southwest.

The town was well defended, but command squad pushed through. Commander was able to find the dead body of one of the criminal command operatives, but not his female minder.

As command squad continued to sweep through Hitlersreid, it came under the fire of a Spanish speaking militia squad and a pair of BRDMs. Both virtually wiped out command squad.

2nd squad became task force command group, and continued the drive to clear Hitlersreid. which was completed soon after. Commander then launched a separate drive to recover a downed pilot, and escort him to an awaiting BRDM scout car.

Down to one tank, and with two more reinforcing rifle squads, the task force launched an attack on Loitendorf. The penetration into the enemy defensive zone went quickly, but the reinforcing tank ran into an attacking BR-80A.

With a disabled tank, and being unable to provide repair, commander called off the attack, and retreated back to base.

Casualties were catastrophic. Command squad was wiped out, along with nearly all of 2nd squad. All four tanks were abandoned due to mechanical issues.

Field counts of enemy losses included three BRDMs three BMPs, and two BTR-80As.

3) On Wednesday, 2nd Bn, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack and clear the village of Rogovo in Chernarus.

Brigade recon staff determined the separatist takeover was an attempt to establish a supply base in anticipation of further attacks south. The separatist troops were led by a pair of criminal operatives, Dragan Bruinsma and Valbona Brunclik.

Owing to enemy artillery, the task force was split into two groups, command squad to attack from the southwest, and 2nd squad and 3rd squad to attack from the southeast.

During the approach, Scout 1 BRDM scout car was caught in enemy artillery impact zone, and was subsequently destroyed.

Command squad fought off at least two enemy patrols coming from the north in lengthy firefights. 2nd squad and and 3rd squad made the eastern outskirts of town without much opposition, as command squad took the brunt of the fighting.

Once in town, command found the body of both of the female minder and stripped her of intelligence documents.

As the task force prepared to defend Rogovo against anticipated counterattacks coming from the west, an enemy counterattack took place from the south, effectively surrounding Rogovo.

Command squad fought the counterattack off at severe cost. Once the criminal operatives were destroyed, and the supply trucks were destroyed, commander ordered a retreat.

As 2nd squad was withdrawing from Rogovo, it was caught in the middle of another counterattack, Commander tried to relieve 2nd squad but failed.

Casualties were catastrophic. 2nd squad was wiped out, while command squad lost seven. Scout 1 was destroyed in an enemy artillery attack.

4) A second operation was ordered by 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade, this time against Pushtoshka. There, the situation was the same with a pair of criminal operatives planning to establish a supply base.

The plan of attack was the same as well. But in this attack, 2nd squad and 3rd squad were required to approach Pushtoshka from the east across open fields.

Command squad struck from the west first, finding and attempting to destroy a wheeled heavy machine gun armored vehicle with artillery.

Despite repeated artillery strikes around the vehicle, it could not be killed, The enemy gunner steadily whittled down the strengths of the three rifle squads until withdrawing ack to the east.

The task force lost its commander, so command fell to 3rd squad command, who also was eliminated. The battalion commander ordered the retreat.

Casualties were catastrophic. Command squad lost seven while 3rd squad lost five. 2nd squad was wiped out when it was attacked from the rear by an enemy patrol.

None of the mission objectives were completed.

5) A third operation was ordered by operations staff of 2nd Bn, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade to attack and clear the hamlet of Sosnovka in Chernarus.

Brigade operations staff reinforced the task group by adding a four4th rifle squad. The attack plan was to attack from opposite directions, command squad and 4th squad from the west, and 2nd and 3rd squad from the east.

Enemy artillery destroyed both BRDMs even bore the attack was underway. As the rifle units closed in on Sosnovka, rifle counterfire became very intense.

After directing artillery to destroy the supply trucks the separatists had brought with them, commander found the unidentified female element of the criminal command group, stripping her of intelligence materials.

Before retreat orders could be issued, commander ordered the task force one kilometer to the west with the task for clearing the area.

During the retreat from Sosnovka, 2nd squad was wiped out, and 3rd and 4th squads suffered severe losses. A total of 15 infantry were available for the new operation.

Command squad and the newly constituted reinforcing squad fought their way to the objective before being driven back by enemy counterattacks. Commander called off the attack and returned to base.

Losses were catastrophic. Of 40 infantry only five survived the operation. Three BRDMs were destroyed, along with the Su-25 ground interdiction fighter.
