Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from March 10th, 2023, to March 16th 2023 Inclusive.

Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continued at a reduced pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in four operations in four regions.

1) OP2303-10-2: Parts of 4th Bn, Chernarus 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade conducted a wide area operation in Leskovets, ultimately successfully clearing three town of enemies.

The task force consisting of three tanks and two rifle squads, was assigned three objectives at Berkovitsa, Slatina and Barzia.

The attack on Berkovitsa was costly with command squad, after attacking from the southeast, running into resistance from Russian naval infantry special forces.

Enemy counterattacks came from the northwest, which included Wagner operators and Russia speaking militia. Both of those attacks were driven back. Commander destroyed three supply trucks.

Two criminal command operatives involved in the operation were both eliminated and intelligence documents on their persons were seized.

After the town was secured, and enemy counterattacks were stopped, the town fell. Commander then was tasked with the recovery of two Su-25 pilots, who then were evacuated back to base.

The last attack, on Barzia, came from the northwest as remnants of command squad move south to clear the town as tanks destroyed a number of enemy armor vehicles and personnel.

Losses for the entire operation were heavy with command squad cut down to just two and with 2nd squad wiped out. The task force also lost one tank.

Enemy losses were heavy as well with field counts including five BTR-80As, three BTR-70s, two T-34/85 tanks, one BRDM, and one T-55 tank.

2) OP2303-10-3 An elements of 2nd Bn, Chernarus 33rd Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade launched an offensive after receiving a warning order that separatist forces had overrun the towns of Rannersdorf, Albernhof, and Hirschhof.

The task force captured Rannersdorf after an intense firefight with Spanish speaking militia. An enemy counterattack from the east was beaten back with rifle fire.

After capturing Albernhof, the task force was assembled to assault the town on Hirschhof. One tank was tasked with covering the main road into town, supported by Relieving Squad 1, while the other tanks supported the main assault.

In the end, the two criminal command operatives responsible for this latest operation were found, eliminated and stripped of valuable intelligence material.

Infantry losses were catastrophic, with command squad losing six, 2nd squad losing seven and relieving rifle squad losing eight. Both scout cars were destroyed along with one tank.

Enemy losses were heavy as well, with one T-55 tank, three BMP-2s and three recoilless rifle carriers.

3) OP2303-10-5 2nd Bn, Chernarus 4th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade was ordered to Vishnoye in Chernarus after it was reported separatist affiliated forces captured the town.

It also was reported that a bus full of civilians was hijacked by separatist troops, and its passengers were executed and left in a mass grave. The task force commander had orders to record the atrocity.

The tactical plan was for 2nd and 3rd squad to attack the town from the east, while command squad and 4th squad, supported by a tank would attack from the south.

Command squad entered the town first and went to the building housing two criminal command operatives, who were both eliminated. The task force commander was killed in the assault.

The task force second in command continued operations, pushing his squad north to assist 2nd and 3rd squad in eliminating a pair of enemy technicals, before finding and recording the mass grave.

Brigade operations staff then issued orders for the task force to retreat south, then prepare for a new operation about a kilometer north of Vishnoye, near Stari Sobor.

The attack on the new objective was stopped by enemy counterfire and the arrival of enemy fast armor. The tank assigned to the task force stopped the enemy armor, and then was retasked to stop an enemy heavy machine gun technical.

In time, the second operation was successful, but costly. Command squad lost all but two, 2nd squad lost eight. Both BRDM scout cars were destroyed.

Field counts of enemy losses included two heavy machine gun technicals, two BTR-80A, one BRDM scout car.

4) OP2303-10-6 2nd Bn, Chernarus 24th Separate Light Mountain Rifle Brigade received a warning order from brigade operations staff that separatist forces would make an attempt to cross the river at Topolin in Livonia.

Topolin is the at extreme northern extent of 24th Brigade security zone, consequently the march to Topolin took 45 minutes. The tactical plan was to deploy south of the main southern road in a straight line.

Enemy infantry attacks began with Russian speaking militia attacking up the main western bridge. Those attacks were stopped. More attacks took place continued near the area of operation of command squad.

When order to withdraw was issued, the task force retreated in good order south to Adamov. Losses were moderate with 2nd squad losing five and 3rd squad losing four.

Field counts of enemy losses included one BRDM scout car and one T-34/85 tank.
