From Yahoo! Sports is a story about how the family of USC all 'round man Reggie Bush's family came to live in a house in San Diego.

Yahoo! Sports writer Charles Robinson writes:

While it's unclear what official role Michaels played in New Era Sports, indications are that the company barely got off the ground – if at all. According to corporation filings in California, paperwork for New Era Sports & Entertainment was drawn up on Nov. 23, 2005, and records list the business address in Los Angeles under an attorney named Phillip M. Smith Jr.

Looking at the information it appears that since it was registered for only a year, the owner possibly had no intention of continuing in this business.

If the corporate papers were drawn up in November 23, 2005, the idea was already in motion on November 2, 2005.

As reported, the main contact for New Era Sports isn't an attorney in LA but Mr. Cervantes himself in San Diego. Michael Michaels isn't listed in this website, so this appears to be Cervantes' baby from the very start.
