The article accurately points out that had a white person said what Bryant Gumbel had said, there would have been an outcry so loud and long there would be no way the NFL could be convinced to keep the idiot on the payroll.

Then there's those awkward moments for the putative white guy when Upshaw ( formerly a lineman for the Oakland raiders, many, many years ago ) get within arms reach of the weasel who said it.

Why in the world would the NFL inflict fans with this irresponsible flaming leftist when they could find a lot better folks.
