On the referenced sports talk radio station was a discussion this past Thursday on which three CDs do you actually have to keep on hand, music CDs so important that if you lost them you would have to replace them

Tough call during the radio show. A bunch of people mentioned tons of 70s and 80s hair rock bands albums, and only a handful of country, mostly George Strait. ( not a bad choice iffin you ask us )

Anyways, our top three CDs:

Core -- Stone Temple Pilots -- This CD is one of the best rock CDs ever made. As it should be with all great CDs, we like every song on this album

Hillbilly Deluxe -- Dwight Yoakam -- Yoakam is the best, a true crooner in the best traditions of country music. One time we spent an hour reading a road atlas tracing US Rte 23 from Flint, Michigan to Prestonburg, Ky, from the song Readin, Writin, Route 23, which is a tremendously heartfelt tribute to his family in Kentucky.

Disciplined Breakdown -- Collective Soul -- Talk about beautiful music and a gift from a friend.

There are others, but the rulez iz three CDs only. Them's these.
