All but about four tanks were smoked, but a lot of Iranian rifles left alive before the AI decided to give up.

The problem was finding good spots for artillery observers, plus I was forced to reinforce a position because the AI wanted to concentrate its main effort in an area defended by a single Naval Infantry mechanized rifle company.
