All this finance stuff happening in the USA is complicated and this blog like so many others is happy to do the service of explaining high finance. I will be brief.
For 12 months Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke has been standing stride a railroad track with his handy Colt Peacemaker .44 shooting at a 100 ton plus freight train heading his way.
He suddenly calls US Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, who brings his handy, if one shot musket, who gets one shot off.
Paulson and Bernanke both call for Congress who brings a 12 gage shotgun onto the track.
The result will either be a smoking train wreck, or a bloody mess.
Either way, we all get to clean up the mess.
Class dismissed.
