Mexican Marines say ten members of the Los Zetas drug gang were arrested near Saltillio, Coahuila in an operation and shootout that costs the life of one marine killed and three others wounded Thursday night, according to Mexican news reports.

The battle took place on the Monterrey, Nuevo Leon-Saltillio, Coahuila highway where the Mexican Secretaria de Marina (SEMAR) reported a Naval Infantry detachment was on patrol near Saltillo, Coahuila and was fired on by armed suspects.

In the ensuing firefight three armed suspects were hit by gunfire, including a local gang leader and ten others were arrested.

Marines also seized vehicles, drugs and weapons in the aftermath.
