If you're a lawyer and you blog about conservative politics, should your opinions even count?
Robert Stacey McCain said it most succinctly:
This... ...experience calls into question whether a lawyer at a big K Street firm could ever function as an independent conservative voice in the blogosphere.
Indeed, it does.
The very premise is silly at best. A lawyer criticizes that an Indian prayer was used at a Christian Memorial service for the victims of the Tucson shooting. Not exactly grist for the political mill. The guy that got the post removed said the remarks were insensitive, but then the guy is a lobbyist for Indian gaming groups.
My question would be, does the guy really believe that the blog post was insensitive, or can his Indian clients expect to see a bill for services rendered.
