Mexican military forces in counternarcotics operations nationwide since July 22nd have seized 40,000 kilograms of unprocessed marijuana, 875.3 kilograms of solid methamphetamine, 40 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 35.2 kilograms of semisolid methamphetamine, 30 kilograms of poppy seeds and MP $64,520 (USD $5,501.26) in cash.
- Six armed suspects were killed by a unit of the Mexican 11th Military Zone july 22nd in Zacatecas state. The unit was dispatched to Teul de Gonzälez Ortega municipality on a complaint of an illegal checkpoint, where the unit came under small arms fire. The unit also seized seven rifles, ammunition, weapons magazines, and four vehicles.
- A unit of the Mexican 19th Military Zone killed ten armed suspects in a shootout in Veracruz state July 21st. The unit was dispatched to El Rancho Borrego in Panuco municipality where they came under small arms fire. Following the gunfight soldiers recovered nine rifles, one grenade launcher, three hand grenades, 32 weapons magazines and 10 vehicles including three armored.
- A detachment of the Mexican 19th Military Zone rescued a kidnapping victim in a gunfight with armed suspects July 21st in Veracruz state. The unit encountered armed suspects who were travelling aboard two vehicles, who fired on the unit. Apparently the suspects abandoned their vehicles during the exchange of gunfire, leaving a hostage behind. Soldiers also seized one handgun, 27 weapons magazines, one hand grenade, 808 rounds of ammunition and two vehicles.
- A unit of the Mexican 35th Military Zone arrested five individuals who fired small arms at soldiers in Guerrero state July 21st. The unit was on patrol in Tierra Colorada municipality when they came under small arms fire by several armed suspects who were travelling in a two vehicle convoy. As the driver of one of he vehicles tried to escape, it rolled over a woman, killing her. In addition to the two unidentified males and three females, soldiers seized two handguns, two weapons magazines, 900 rounds of ammunition and a vehicle.
- A unit of the 9th Militarty Zone located and dismantled a synthetic drug laboratory in Sinaloa state July 22nd. The lab was found in Costa Rica in Culican municipality. Seized materials included 40 liters of liquid methamphetamine, 35.2 kilograms of semisolid methamphetamine, 5.3 kilograms of solid methamphetamine, 640 liters of acetone as well as lab equipment.
- A detachment of the Mexican 15th Military Zone killed six armed suspects in Ayotlan, Jalisco July 22nd. The unit was dispatched based on a citizen's complaint of armed men at a hotel in Ayotlan. The unit came under small arms fire as it arrived at the location. Following the gunfight, soldiers seized eight rifles, one grenade launcher, four grenades, weapons magazines, ammunition and a vehicle.
- A unit of the Mexican 43rd Military Zone located and dismantled a hidden synthetic drug lab in Michoacan state July 22nd. The unit was on patrol in Aguililla municipality when it discovered the lab. Seized materials included 870 kilograms of methamphetamine, 500 liters of AFA, 9,940 liters of an unidentified substance, 360 kilograms of caustic soda, five rifles, one grenade launcher attachment and six vehicles.
- A detachment of the Mexican IV Military Region killed two armed suspects in a gunfight in Nuevo Leon state July 23rd. The unit attempted a traffic stop of two individuals in El Carmen who were travelling aboard a vehicle. The suspects fired on soldiers prompting return fire. Following the gunfight, soldiers seized three rifles, two handguns, a grenade launcher, weapons magazines and ammunition.
- A unit of the Mexican IV Military Region rescued three kidnapping victims in Juarez municipality in Nuevo Leon July 24th. The unit was on patrol in La Trinidad colony when it observed an individual fleeing the area. Soldiers located three men who said they hd been kidnapped. Also sezied were four rifles, weapons magazines, ammunition and bandoleros.
- A detachment of the Mexican 10th Military Zone found a marijuana growing plantation in Durango state July 23rd. The unit was on patrol in the area of Rancheria San José de Ramos in Santa Maria del Oro municipality when it found several areas growing marijuana totalling 60 hectares. In total soldiers seized 40,000 kilograms of unprocessed marijuana, two rifles, 14 weapons magazines, 108 rounds of ammunition, twenty military uniforms, and other contraband.
- Units of the Mexican 7th Military Zone killed seven armed suspects and seized a number of drugs, weapons and other contraband in three separate incidents July 25th in Nuevo Leon state.
- In Marin municipality soldiers were fired on by two individuals travelling aboard a vehicle. Army return fire killed both suspects. Soldiers found a female kidnapping victim in the vehicle who was apparently wounded in the gunfight. Soldiers also seized two rifles, 38 weapons magazines, 770 rounds of ammunition, three trimmings and a vehicle.
- One unit on the Sabinas Hidalgo to Vallecillos road began pursuit of a van with several suspects who fled upon seeing the military unit. The unit found the van abandoned moments later, and seised a number of contraband including eight rifles, one handgun, one grenade launcher attachment, one grenade, 236 weapons magazines, 1,252 rounds of ammunition , a quantity of cocaine, MP $60,000 (USD $5,115.87) in cash and four military-style uniforms. The unit later arrested a wounded man they say was one of the suspects in the van.
- A detachment in Sabinas Hidalgo came under small arms fire from armed suspects travelling aboard two vehicles while on patrol. Return fire killed five suspects. Soldiers also seized two rifles, a handgun, 40 chargers, 5,807 rounds of ammunition, a furniture, one military-style helmet and two vehicles.
- A unit of the Mexican 25th Military Zone raided a safe house in Morelia state July 25th. The military came by the information when two kidnapping victims escaped from the house in April 10 colony in Temixco municipality. Materials seized at the safe house included one rifle , one handgun, 14 weapons magazines, 506 rounds of ammunition, six cell phones, MP $4520.00 (USD $385.39) in cash and two vehicles.
- A detachment of the Mexican 13th Military Zone arrested an individual with drugs and guns at a checkpoint in Nayarit state July 25th. The checkpoint was set up between the village of Linda Vista and Rancho Viejo in Nayar municipality. Seized materials included 30 kilograms of poppy seeds, two rifles, one handgun, three weapons magazines and 10 rounds of ammunition.
