Magpul, the Colorado based weapon magazine manufacturer is no longer based in Colorado, but in Texas. Last week the company announced that it will take the rest of its company and base its headquarters in Austin, Texas. About 100 jobs are leaving Colorado as well. The company made good on its threat to exit to a gun friendlier state due to the draconian gun laws Colorado passed two years ago. Some of its manufacturing was moved to nearby Wyoming.

Don't let the beard and the horn rimmed glasses fool you, but Vox.com leftist writer Matthew Iglesias is a blithering idiot when it comes to guns. He blames the demise of fat thug Michael Brown on inadequate gun control. I agree, but what can you do? You gotta keep firing 'til the threat is gone.

Speaking of firing 'til the threat is stopped, New York state has compiled a list of people who are considered mentally unstable, who apparently will be first to go down when confiscations begin. Not that it would make any difference now that the line has been crossed, but it is worth noting to your antigun friends acquaintances that gun confiscations are taking place now.

The state on the cusp of instituting gun confiscations, Washington state, will hold a rally today where a number of participants will exchange guns in defiance of the new universal background checks law. Great, but reading in arms list, gun owners who are actually buying and selling firearms are proceeding as they are expected to: registering their firearms with the government. And those who want to steal your property and kill you if you resist want even more gun laws. But at least you can buy marijuana legally.

The police in Beloit, Wisconsin want residents to consent to citywide searches of residents' homes for guns. You know, as an anti crime measure. Public safety and all that.

Finally, a rundown of all the markings used on AKs, presumably both the AK-47 and the AK-74.

Loads.
