The tempo of combat operations continued at a steady pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in three operations in three regions.

1) Late Friday night, a Chernarus private special operations team was sent to a location in Virolahti to eliminate an enemy artillery emplacement and to perform other tasks.

The team successfully perform one of their tasks, but were unable to complete their mission due to overwhelming numbers.

2) Early Saturday morning, a task force assembled from elements of 2nd Bn, Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized RIfle Brigade was ordered to attack and clear the town of Werferlingen in Werferlingen.

Included in their list of tasks was the order to eliminate the criminal command group responsible for the takeover of the town, Ruslan Kravchuc and Hasna Jaho. Also local friendly operatives had left some stolen documents at a dead drop northeast of town.

Chernarus forces last entered Werferlingen city a month ago to relieve a friendly force stranded and facing attack from separatists

. The tactical plan for the operation was for 2nd and 3rd squads, along with one of the tanks to cross the river at a bridge on the southwest section of the river. Two of the BRDM scout cars would cover the march from another bridge north of the crossing point.

Command squad would force the river at a northern bridge, their advance to be covered by one tank on the near side of the river.

Command squad encountered heavy counterfire in their river crossing, but were able to eliminate enemy resistance. As the squad closed in on the location of the criminal command group, enemy techncials began to arrive.

Meanwhile, on the west side of town, both 2nd and 3rd squad advanced without much resistance, until they arrived at the northwestern edge of town. That was when enemy heavy armor arrived. They were able to effectively stop enemy infiltration.

Command squad received orders to withdraw, but still had orders to recover the stolen documents left at the dead drop. Enemy heavy armor arrived as well, as well as enemy infantry.

The tank on the near side of the river was not able to get a clear shot, so the commander shifted the tank on the west side over to command squad's area of operation.

The enemy armor threat eliminated, command squad was able to retrieve the documents before withdrawing.

The tank being shifted gave the enemy an opening on the west side, so enemy armor began to attack 2nd and 3rd squads. By the time command squad was safely on the near side of the river, 2nd and 3rd squad were destroyed, save for one rifleman.

Losses were very heavy. One BRDM was destroyed along with the BTRs of 2nd and 3rd squads. Enemy losses were heavy as well. Field reports listed one T-34/85 and one T-55, along with one BTR-80A and two BRDMs.

3) Elements of 2nd Bn Chernarus 17th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to attack and clear the town of Gavrilovka in Beketov Tuesday night.

Gavrilovka was overtaken by a separatist operation the evening before. Those forces were led by the criminal operatives Vladimir Rozhin and Emina Meci.

The attacking forces included a pair of Chernarus SU-25 ground interdiction fighters and a CDF MI-24 attack helicopter. Eastern Treshka River region is occupied by an armor heavy force.

The tactical plan was for 2nd and 3rd squads to enter town from the west, while command squad, supported by one BRDM scout car would attack from the south.

During the marching to town, air support continually pounded separatist vehicles depoyed to town, and continued to do so as ground forces attacked into town.

Command squad quickly located the two criminal operatives. Commander eliminated them both. The commander also lifted documents from the dead body of Mici.

Command squad then pressed further north to locate and destroy three supply trucks the separatist force brought with them. Then the task force was ordered to retreat from town.

Casualties were moderate. Command squad lost its commander, while 3rd squad lost one. During the retreat, one BRDM scout car was destroyed by an enemy BTR-80A. The attack helicopter also was shot down with the loss of the crew.
