Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from October 1st to October 7th Inclusive.

The tempo of combat operations continued at an increased pace.
Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in five operations in five regions.
1) The naval infantry detachment in Napf, part of 4th Bn, Chernarus 2nd Separate Naval Infantry Brigade was ordered to clear the Froberg Castle Friday night.
The separatist force was led by a criminal command group which included Enver Hoxha and Bibi Kurti. Their presence at Froberg constituted a threat to the Chernarus naval infantry bases at Brienz and at Giswil.
The task force included three naval infantry squads reinforced with two ammo carriers. The approach march was to land by amphibious assault boat south of the castle and then proceed inland.
The tactical plan was for 2nd and 3rd squads to approach the castle from the south, as command squad maneuvered in an effort to locate the technicals.
Instead, commander through tactical reports, located two Humvee MRAPS posted south of the castle. Despite launching four separate artillery strikes against the technicals, they remained combat effective.
Commander ordered 2nd and 3rd squad to approach the two technicals under the cover of smoke. 3rd squad was fired on by both technicals and wiped out. Command squad began its maneuver, moving to the west of the two vehicles, then firing on them.
With the two vehicles destroyed, command squad and 2nd squad began its assault into the castle. Within a few minutes, the castle was cleared. Command killed Kurti, while the rest of the command squad eliminated Hoxha.
Losses were high. 3rd squad was wiped out, while command squad lost one.
2) A Chernarus naval infantry paradrop in Malden had the task for clearing La Riviere of separatist aligned forces from town, and to eliminate a pair of criminal operatives, Yevginy Samarchenko and Tika Khukici.
Three civilian innocents who had been rounded up and detained by enemy forces were rescued and evacuated along with the rest of the task force.
The operation was successful.
Losses were heavy. Command squad lost six, 2nd squad lost three, 3rd squad lost eight and the weapons squad lost eight. Two of the three civilian prisoners were killed dring the evacuation.

3) An army special forces eam in Chernarus was sent to eliminate a pair of operatives, Ilya Tekelija Olesya Mahendru in Vavilovo. Also targeted were four Russian speaking contractors hired by the operatives to carry out their dirty work.

4) A task force from 3rd Bn Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to Riddensdorf in Werferingen with the task of stopping a separatist thrust Tuesday afternoon.
Losses were high. Command squad lost five, 2nd squad lost nine plus its BTR, and 3rd sqaud lost five. Tank 1 and Scout 1 were destroyed. Air support was shot down with the loss of the pilot.
Field counts of enemy losses were pout at seven T-34/85s, two T-55s, four BRDMs and two BTR-80As.

5) Thursday, an amphibious naval infantry task force was ordered to clear the Bridge @ 20570,10586 and to eliminate the criminal operatives, Matija Depreradovich and Nadezhda Pavlova
