Subject: Weekly Summary of Combat Operations, from March 4th, 2022, to March 10th, 2022 Inclusive.

The tempo of combat operations continue at a reduced pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in four operations in three regions.

1) Parachute troops from 3rd Bn, Chernarus 2nd Separate Naval Infantry Brigade were ordered to La Pessange in Malden Friday afternoon

. Separatist affiliated troops were preparing to drive through town, supported by techncials and tanks. The task force assembled had orders to stop or delay enemy troops.

After paradropping three kilometers south, the task force force marched quickly into town to set up a defense. 2nd squad and the weapons squad setup on the eastern road, while 3rd squad occupied the west.

The task force was further strengthened with two rifle squads.

Initial attacks came from the northwest, then from the north. Enemy technicals initially made contact in a group of three. All of those attacks were stopped.

The task force held La Pessange successfully, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy.

Losses were high. Command squad lost three, 2nd squad lost one, while 3rd squad lost three. Weapons squad lost two. Reinforcing squad one lost five. Reinforcing squad 2 one. One Hellenic Air Force ground interdiction A-7 was aircraft shot down.

The task force retreated in good order to the west coast of Malden.

2) A Chernarus Naval Forces special force team was ordered to Ol'sha early Monday morning in Chernarus with orders to assassinate a pair of enemy criminal operatives.

Agim Gojcaj and Bojana Dobrojevic, both well known as field commanders previously had been charged with multiple crimes, including murder. That they were in Ol'sha was an indication to Chernarus naval intelligence the separatists were planning something.

The team inserted by RHIB along the eastern coast, then proceeded inland to Ol'sha. Once in position they were supported in their assault by a Chernarus Defense Foreces MI-24 gunship.

It was later discovered that a team of Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs special forces team had been dispatched to Ol'sha to provide protection for the two operatives.

The team launched an initial assault by gunning down several operators as the gunship attacked enemy vehicles. The team penetrated the enemy defense zone in Ol'sh, then proceeded to clear the area.

The two enemy operatives were located and eliminated. Documents were stripped from their persons, later to be analyzed.

The team extracted to their insertion location, then returned to ship Casualties were moderate with the loss of the team sharpshooter.

3) An armored task force from 2nd Bn, Chernarus 33rd Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade was ordered to Thorau in Cham.

The task force had a task to eliminate two enemy criminal operatives, Agim Gojcaj and Katerina Pimenova , and a private contractor death squad.

The mission was a success. The commander found documents on the operatives: a list of antiaircraft gun sites, and a list of names and bank account numbers.

Losses were mild with 3rd squad losing five, and command squad losing two.

4) An ad hoc light rifle task force from 2nd Bn Chernarus 4th Separate Light Rifle Brigade was ordered to Kabanino in Chernarus with orders to stop a separatist push south.

Aside from the three light rifle squads, the task force was augmented by two more light rifle squads and by a BMP-2 IFV. An SU-25 ground interdiction fighter was also sent into the area to help.

The tactical plan was for 3rd squad to overwatch on the western crossroads, supported by Scout 2, a BRDM scout car. 2nd squad took up positions on the eastern side supported by Scout 1. Command squad took up positions north of the abandoned collective farm.

3rd squad took the brunt of initial attacks, very nearly being completely wiped out. Enemy vehicles attacked from the west as well, but were stopped by the BMP-2 and the two relief rifle squads.

Two more rifle attacks took place, one of them in the east, and the other in the west. The BMP-2, despite damaging or destroying several enemy vehicles was forced to retreat into town and ultimately was destroyed by an enemy T-55.

The T-55 had infiltrated to the south of Kabanino and in the direct path of retreat. Commander launched a full artillery strike on its position, destroying it, and allowing the task force to withdraw from town.

The task force withdrew from town in good order. Casualties were moderate. Relief squad 2 suffered four killed, while relief squad 1 suffered two losses.

Field counts of enemy losses include two T-55 tanks, one BMP and two technicals.
