Message begins:

The tempo of combat operations continued at an increased pace.

Chernarus Defense, Naval and air forces have engaged in five operations in four regions.

1) OP2306-16-1 In Rosche, a task force of 2nd Bn, Chernarus 19th Separate Mechanized Cavalry Regiment conducted a wide area defensive operation against separatist forces.

In Hanstedt, CDF armored forces drove back several enemy attacks, starting with Wagner PMCs and some unidentified infantry. Enemy vehicles also attacked the position from the north as well.

Having held the town and passing it off to 2nd squad, command squad and the remainder of the task force marched on Schliekau, defending the town from more enemy infantry attacks from the northwest and the northeast.

Additional attacks took place in the northwest from Wagner operators, which also were driven off.

Marching on Ratzlingen, attacks on friendly forces subsided some with only one recorded infantry attack and one vehicle attack, coming from the east.

All defensive operations were successful in keeping enemy forces from pushing further south in the region.

Casualties were very light, with command squad losing five. Scout 1 (BRDM) was destroyed, as was Air Support 1 (MI-24).

Field counts of enemy losses included five BRDMs, three BMPs, two technicals, two BTR-80As and one T-34.

2) OP2306-16-3 3rd Bn, Chernarus 13th Separate Mountain Motorized Rifle Brigade gathered a task force with orders to recover an abandoned tank near Hodingen in Werferlingen.

Tank recovery operations are multitasks with repair, fuel vehicle and crew needed to withdraw the tank. The tactical plan for all repair operations is for command squad to move infantry to a buffer zone away from the stricken tank.

The stricken T-72 was in an open field, so the task force exercised some caution in approaching the tank. Two armor vehicles were nearby which fired on the two friendly tanks.

Once those vehicles were destroyed, a short, sharp infantry fight took place as Tank 1 destroyed an enemy rifle squad.

The task force commander moved quickly to secure the tank to allow repair/refueling to take place. Once completed and recrewed, the tank was withdrawn to Hodingen.

Casualties were moderate. 2nd squad lost two in a brief firefight between it, Tank 2 and the enemy T-34. 2nd squad's BTR was overturned, but later righted using commander's BTR.

3rd squad lost its BTR is a traffic accident when it overturned on the southern bridge leading into Hodingen. Commander determined recovery of the BTR to be impossible with available vehicles.

3) OP2306-16-5A Maksniemi Part of 1st Bn, Chernarus 2nd Naval Infantry Brigade was ordered to a location in western Maksniemi to clear enemy separatist troops.

The tactical plan after landfall was for 3rd an 4th squad to maneuver to the east of the enemy deployment, while 2nd squad and command squad maneuvered to the west.

Commander was unable to call naval artillery fire on the location of an enemy mortar battery, instead opting to send a USMC F-35B ground interdiction fighter in to destroy the mortars.

3rd and 4th squad wound up hitting a hornets' nest as they drove to the northwest, as command and 2nd squad maneuvered west then north. Meanwhile, commander called several scatterable mines fire missions on crossroads to the north.

Enemy resistance collapsed soon after. Commander found both civilian criminal command operatives, and stripped them of critical intelligence materials. Commander then called a retreat back to the boats.

Casualties were moderate. 3rd squad lost three, while 4th squad lost six.

Field counts of enemy losses included two technicals. During the retreat commander heard several explosions from the north, denoted probably enemy vehicle reinforcements ran into the mines.

4) OP2306-16-5B Part of 1st Bn, Chernarus 2nd Naval Infantry Brigade moved by assault transport boat to Karsikko in western Maksiniemi with orders to clear the village of a contingent of occupying separatist troops.

In addition to that main task, Chernarus Naval Intelligence (ChMSRU) tasked the commander with the recovery of a trio of civilians being held prisoner by the separatists.

Karsikko sits just north of a small island, which the task force crossed after landing. Several firefights broke out between CNF naval infantry and enemy riflemen from Wagner PMC and Russian speaking militia.

The task force slowly penetrated into the defensive perimeter of the separatist led troops. Commander located the female operative of the enemy criminal command group, eliminating her and stripping her of critical intelligence materials.

Once the village fell into CNF hands, command located and released the three civilian prisoners, escorting them to the boat for the return trip to the command ship.

Losses were very light with 2nd squad losing one and 3rd squad losing four.

Field counts of enemy losses included two technicals.

The prisoners were ordered to be transferred by boat, along with the seized intelligence materials, to a local civilian authority for debriefing.

5) OP2306-16-6 From 1st Bn, Chernarus A light infantry task force marched on Dolina in Chernarus with with instructions to intercept an enemy force attempting to break through there.

The tactical deployment called for the task force to deploy on a straight line south of the road, with the supporting scout cars on the flanks. The environment was marked by heavy rains.

Two infantry attacks took place in the west of the deployment, where command squad was deployed, involving Wagner operators and Spanish speaking militia. Those attacks were driven off with the help of an MI-24 gunship.

Another attack by unknown infantry hit the line on the east side A second attack on the east side of the deployment coincided with the arrival of several technicals. The attack was so effective, 2nd squad was ordered to retreat.

Another attack by Russian speaking militia hit the line in the west with a flanking attack on command squad, which was driven back.

The line held and Dolina was defended. Losses were high, with command squad losing six,2 nd squad losing five. 4th Squad lost one as did Reinforcing Rifle Squad 1. Scout 2 was destroyed.
