From the land of Slashdot comes a story about how German government is levying a $5.50 tax on every electronic item that can pick up internet broadcasts to "support national and local public TV and radio stations."
We have a better idea.
Sell government owned radio and TV and get out of the broadcasting business altogether. That way, there's no tax, no tax money going to a public function which can be better performs by the private sector anyway, and citizens can have a greater say in what happens to their own money.
Sign us up for that program!
