A story from the Detroit Free-Press says that Michigan has addressed its defensive problems with a new defensive line coach. Last year, Michigan has an awful time with mobile quarterbacks. Three schools, Michigan State, Texas and Ohio State all scored at least 37 points against Michigan last year.

Michigan fans were so incensed at the poor showing they were demanding the defensive coordinator, Jim Hermann, be sacked, so to speak.

Now, Michigan has a new defensive line coach, Steve Stripling from Michigan State to help. The word is now that the problems with the Michigan defense, missing tackles above all, are being addressed.

Michigan's first game, September 3rd, is against Northern Illinois. Their first conference game will on the road at Wisconsin, September 24th.
