about "at-sea liberty." I got this definition from a USN submariner, the same guy who also told me that there are two types of seagoing vessels: subs and targets.
Anyway, according to this old boomer sailor, an at-sea liberty is what you do when you're ready to get ashore but you're only 50 days into a 90 day submerged cruise. When you get off watch, you take all your money and flush it down the head. Then you slam your **** in a door. After that you either bang your head against a bulkhead or hit it with a hammer until you pass out. When you wake up, your head hurts, your **** hurts, and all your money is gone, just like your last liberty, so you must have had a good time!
If you have something to add, Fire Away!
